Nicolaus Copernicus Complete Edition

Edited by Heribert M. Nobis (†), Menso Folkerts, Stefan Kirschner and Andreas Kühne

Copernicus

The 500th birthday of Nicolaus Copernicus (1473-1543) on February 19, 1973 was observed around the world with scholarly conferences and seminars. It also served as the occasion for the new German edition of Copernicus’s complete works, the “Nicolaus-Copernicus-Gesamtausgabe”. Founded by Heribert M. Nobis, it has been supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and, since 2013, published by De Gruyter Oldenbourg (Berlin, München, Boston). The publication of Vol. IV in 2019 completes the Copernicus Edition.
